Those were Philippe Boucher's words -- very accurate ones, I might add -- about Thursday night's game in St. Louis. So, here's the question: Is this the kick in the behind that the Stars needed?
This kinda, sorta reminds me of last November, when the Stars lost that 5-0 game to Phoenix and Brenden Morrow said "we've hit rock bottom." Not long after is when the Stars shook things up in the front office.
Now, the Stars don't need to be doing any of that right now... The fault doesn't lie with those around them. It is them. But I think that a game like that should wake them up and make them realize that they are just flushing points down the toilet right now. Hey, you can't win a division in the first month, but you can certainly put yourself in a bad place in it.
Anyway, onto injury updates: Steve Ott practiced today, so he could be back tomorrow. Jere Lehtinen apparently gave it a go at the start of practice but didn't stay too long. So who knows what's going on there.
Well, kids, we have the matinee tomorrow afternoon. There's one reason to smile for me: No deadlines See, always end the day (or blog) on a positive.
